  12. Kameswararao garu,
It is nice to see this sense of 'deja vu'.
I noted about your blog in Racchabanda.

I thought it is worthwhile to cross-post the original thread I started in Racchabanda "Chamdassu - The Mathematical Texture"

As I wished in my original post, some genius one-day will unravel 'nadaka' and facilitate many to appreciate/ write padyamas. The original Racchabanda post follows:

Through many of complimenting postings on JKRMgaru, I learned a bit of his contributions to Telugu.
I am impressed with his works, whatever a little I read about.

I used to wonder how our kavis tell 'padyams' extempore, and it appealed to me that they do not have much options to do the 'ganavibhajana' before telling the 'padyams.' It is only to the lay man to divide the padyam in understanding what type of 'padyam' or 'meter' is it, based on the 'ChaMdassu.'

We learnt the hard way only the technicality of deciding a meter, for example, ChampakamAla' :

    najabhajaraljarepal padanonditanuCha mpakambagu

This is an interesting padam, as it gives the technicality of meter, ChampakamAla. But hardly it tells anything else.

So, I used to think that 'kavis' typically won't resort to this type of ganavibhajana to tell a poem spontaneously, rather they have grasped something beyond our comprehension that they visualize 'pattern' (could be sound, 'nadaka') for each meter, that guides them to complete a padyam in the chosen meter.

It appeal to me that there could a Mathematical Basis or 'Pattern' for each of our 'meters'. Though I have not much discussed this with many, I mentioned to SriJonnavithulagaru on this last year. I am really impressed to read that JKRMgaru had linked 'Chamdassu' to Fibonacci Series.

In my later year, I have come across 'Fractals', and am sure if anyone had taken a look at some of the wonderful pictorial outcomes of simple fractal equations, would be amazed at the Mathematical properties of beauty. I also recall some wonderful words of Archimedes:
"...everything that surrounds, everything that exists proves that there are infinite laws behind it. It is mathematical in its precision."

This is an imprecise idea/post and hope one day a wise soul may unravel, and I may understand.

With best regards and thanks... Saradhi.
